Burglar-resistance
Burglar resistance is the ability of a building to keep various physical threats outside its doors. As an interruption of the building envelope, security doors are therefore crucial in the security strategy of a building. The burglar-resistant doors of Protec Industrial Doors are developed to achieve the highest classifications within international standards.
As a specialist, Protec Industrial Doors has extensive experience in projects where strict burglar resistance requirements apply, as well as the associated rules, conditions and certifications.
Resistance classes and certification
The security doors of Protec Industrial Doors are developed in-house and are tested by independent accredited organisations based on the European EN 1627 standard. This standard distinguishes six classifications with increasing resistance levels: Resistance Class 1 to Resistance Class 6 (RC1 to RC6).
The security gates of Protec Industrial Doors are tested and certified up to the highest classification: RC6. However, even higher burglar resistance requirements can be set to the burglar-resistant doors of Protec Industrial Doors than the requirements stated in Resistance Class 6.
The burglar-resistant doors are also certified for situations where breakout resistance is important. The breakout-resistant doors of Protec Industrial Doors are fully suited to the required safety level.
Total project solutions in security
Especially in relation to security requirements, modified and project-specific requirements often apply. Protec Industrial Doors offers you the possibility to have doors tested and certified on a project basis using the standard or a combination of standards applicable to your project.
This gives you the opportunity to combine all door properties in a single certified door solution. The burglar-resistant door, for example, can also be designed as a bulletproof and explosion-resistant version. This makes it possible at Protec Industrial Doors to implement a single certified total project solution in the field of security.
